It been a long road, but you are here! Your child has been demonstrating big
behaviors and you have tried everything and nothing seems to work!
Yes, this can be very confusing and exhausting for both children and parents.
What if their behaviors have a hidden meaning that is hard to relay?
What if there is a need that is not being met, and your child has a hard time
communicating that need?
You struggle with reactive parenting driven by strong emotions in response to your child's behavior. Often times you feel guilty or ashamed for reacting so strongly.
You struggle with setting unrealistic expectations for your child instead of what they need.
You may struggle with allowing natural consequences to teach your child or may struggle with allowing your child to make their own age-appropriate choices.
You find it very difficult to connect with your child. Or it is hard for you as a parent to feel a strong bond with your child.
My approach to parenting is about helping you the guardian identify strategies to create an environment in which your bond with your child will strengthen. Whether it is addressing difficulties in healthy limit setting, or maybe it's your past childhood interfering with how you raise your child. Regardless we will focus on these patterns and help you develop skills to increase love, emotional security and atonement with your child.
There is no one size fits all to parenting and through consistent support, I can help you find approaches that work for your unique situation and circumstances. The combination of my clinical background and lived experience brings a unique understanding to my work with parents / guardians. My approach is focused on strengthening the child / guardian bond through an attachment-based approach.
